Blacksmith of Minus
-[moving through the market's streets]-
says to ALL: I enter from the streets of Minus, looking along at some of the vendors, considering what I would need for the villa. I enjoyed sleeping on the sea sleen furs last night, but I thought that perhaps at least a bed would be more comfortable. I would also need all the items required to clean the place up, mops and brooms, pumice stones to scrub with. I decide that perhaps today I will try and find a vendor that sells that kind of stuff so I can have it delivered and my slave and employees could get started on the cleanup process.

Blacksmith of Minus
-[within a market shop]-
says to ALL: I find a large shop that has dry goods and items like I need, really a general store of sorts. I push the door open and walk inside, a couple of women are perusing some of the items along one wall and crinkle their nose seeing a huge sooty blacksmith come walking through the door. I had a list of items I would need, several mops, brooms, buckets and things like shears for the bushes, something to mow the lawn down to a reasonable level with, spades and hoes and the like for the garden. I look around a bit before walking up to the young man working the counter. I assumed he was the son of the man that owned this general store. "Tal to you merchant" I say to him as I unfold the list of items that I need, "I require some supplies, do you have everything on the list?" I ask him as he starts to scroll down through it and then looks back up to me with a nod, "Yes Sir! We can provide anything that you need!" He has one of the other men that work at the store start going around collecting things. "I would like everything delivered to my villa, perhaps I could start a tab so that myself or one of my employees could continue to purchase items as we need them and then invoice us at the end of the month." He seems to consider that and says, "alright, but it would be a one silver deposit, and then the normal billing cycle would be about once every four hands." I agree with him on that and take a silver out of my coin pouch, sliding it across the desk to him.

says to ALL: I continue to look around the shop, finding a few torches that would work for the villa, well I figured they would work in the wall sconces anyway. I also notice some different kinds of dry goods for food that look promising. We would probably not be eating much at the villa for the time being but there was no reason not to have some food there. I keep adding to the list, the shopkeeper seems pleased that he has a new client that needs all these different things. It seemed that his prices were fair, though I would still try to haggle with him a bit when it came time to pay the bill at the end of the month. By the time I finish I have many different kinds of dry goods, some things like nails, a few buckets of paint, a chimney sweeping pole. I finally figure that I have purchased enough here for the day. I could always send Omega back with another list once we had the opportunity to take a bit better stock of the villa. I shake the hand of the shopkeeper and head out into the street again, satisfied that by the time I arrived at the villa tonight there would be several boxes of supplies waiting for me.

says to ALL: I walk down the way a bit, and the next shop that I walk in to is a butcher's shop. I would need quite a bit of meat for all the animals that I'd brought with me to the villa in Minus. Two panthers, two sleen, two tarns, they all had to eat, and all of them ate meat. I thought perhaps I could set something up with one of the shops to get some of their leftover meat that was not sold. All of the animals would be fine with eating that. I see a relatively well kept looking woman behind the desk, which would be unusual for a shop of the low castes like a butcher. She was I guessed either the companion or wife of the owner. That said perhaps she was the owner herself, it would not be that uncommon for a woman to own a business such as this. I had no issues dealing with Free Women, many of the contracts I have already set up have been with businesses owned by Free Women. I walk up to the desk and smile, "Tal Lady, I am looking to buy some meat, perhaps some of your non choice cuts as this will be for my animals, and I would prefer to pick up something a bit lower quality than I would eat myself, at least until I can do some hunting to bring down game to take back for the animals to eat." She smiles and nods, "Tal Blacksmith." She could tell from the caste colors I wore. I originally was from the Torvaldslands where there was no caste, but I was a blacksmith there too so I fell into the caste system well once arriving near Ar in Minus.

says to ALL: I outlined for her what it is that I was looking for, and what types of animals I was feeding, I also explained to her that I would like to have some better cuts of meat delivered for myself to eat and for my men to eat. The amount was pretty considerable that I was asking for so she came back with an offer of 2 silver for the lot, I told her that I would give her one, but that I would be back for more. She seemed satisfied with this so I gave her the location of the villa, and the silver coin. She said that she would have the meat delivered some time today. I nod and head out the door of this shop back out onto the street again.

says to Ex's apple: I consider what else I might need today, carrying you around in my pocket for a bit. I was able to get enough cleaning and repair things from the general market to be able to do most of the work to start on readying the villa. I would need to speak with the builders of house Siguror about doing some upkeep and updating on the villa, plus I wanted to check on their progress with the forge and studio. This all was going to cost me, but I had been considering taking on an apprentice, and the men that worked for me had been churning out collars and other simple items from the forge for sale to bring in some coin. I look around, wondering if I should get anything else today.

Blacksmith of Minus
-[moving through the market's streets]-
says to ALL: I pass the shop that sold the beautiful furniture where I originally ran into the scribe from Minus, Gabriella, but I was not sure that I could afford anything in the shop, so I pass it by. I was happy curling up with my slave girl on a pile of furs in the corner of the great room right now anyway. I would worry about some furniture later, once the building was cleaned up and repaired.
