-At the town square where all the major routes join to form the market. People assemble here daily on benches located along the outskirts of the town market to socialize or to rest and discuss business amongst themselves..-
says to ALL: Leaving the Administrator to the throngs of people wanting to speak with him. I recalled what it was like to have to take all those petitions and other things and was happy that I am just a poor and humble blacksmith these days. I look around at the square as I casually saunter through it. I considered walking over to check on the progress at the forge, I knew that much of the kailla wagon train was arriving and I wanted to see how Omega Stormreaver, my second in command of my fleet of ships had made out with his trip to the Inlet of Green Cliffs and subsequent portage of the materials and equipment to Minus.

says to ALL: I consider that I will need to use this PD for the time being until I can earn enough credits to purchase a PD for the Exeter Metal Works. The building was coming along nicely, some reworking had already been done in the masonry and I could see that the inside had been cleaned. There was a loading dock per se in the back, and that is where most of the materials were being offloaded from the wagons. I begin to pick through things, several dozen plain steel collars, the forge itself which must have weighed in at several tons would be coming in the next few days, that part of the kailla train was much slower than the rest. There were also many of the different types of ore I would need, I had considered sending a few of my men to the Voltai mountains to begin to search for a vein of copper and one of iron. I could then perhaps find someone willing to set up a mine to supply the forge.

says to ALL: I catch sight of the shiny bald head of Omega Stormreaver, he was a pirate by trade, and had served upon my Flagship, the Eye of the Beholder for many years. He was not so comfortable riding with the wagons, so I'd given him use of my tarn Drago for the trip. Drago was not nearly as mean as the tarn that I rode, that went by the name of Bastian. Bastian and I had been together for many years, but he often tried to eat, and was often successful at eating anyone who tried to clean out his stable or feed him beyond me. I tended to go feed him by hand, instead of having to pay exhorbitant fees for all the thralls that he ate. "Tal Omega!" I say to him, walking over to grasp his hand and clap my hand on his shoulder, "It looks as though we are well on our way." He grins in return, "Heya Boss!" He had a gold ring in each ear, and a long goatee that was braided, he looked very much the pirate that he was. "Everything go well with the trip?"

says to ..|. The Scribbler .|.. : I give Omega a few more instructions, and he sets the men we have hired to set up the blacksmith to work. They are all scrambling around as I wipe my hands on my tunic and walk out the front door of the building. You could see inside and would notice that the place was free of dust and such, but that there was nothing really set up in it yet, it was mostly an empty shell. "Greetings Gabriella." I did not even make a reaction to the humble blacksmith comment because of course I figured that you totally believed that I was a humble blacksmith.

says to ALL: I hurry over to the Forge, walking inside I see that Omega is working the men, they are levering the furnace into place and cutting out the hole in the ceiling for the smoke stack. I can see things are going well so I do not bother them, I wave to Omega Stormreaver, he has beads of sweat forming on his bald head. The rings in his ears seem to suggest that he is a pirate, which he is of course.

says to ALL: Finally the furnace is levered into place and lands on the stone floor of the forge with a loud CLANG. They fit the pipe into the ceiling, making sure that nothing flammable is near it. They had cut a hole, which would let in a bit of the elements but would be better than burning the place down. I walk over to the anvil, sliding my hand into one of the pouches in my weapons harness I retrieve a plumb, testing to be sure that the anvil is level. I then check with a compass and square to be sure that it is lined up correctly. I could hear others outside stacking hardwood against the back of the building, hardwood like temwood burnt the hottest and was often used in forges. There would be several cords of wood stacked, but we would burn through then quickly. I also saw crates of iron and copper ore, and some of both that was smelted being brought into the forge and stacked along one wall. I would need to set up a copper and iron mine so that I could begin to harvest the ore on a regular basis.

says to ALL: I then take my tools over to the forge, clasping Omega on the shoulder, "good work my friend, it seems as though you had no issues transporting everything here?" He grumbles about how damn far the trip was, but at least he had one of my tarn, Drago, to fly ahead and not stick with the slow moving kailla train nearly as much. "Has everything arrived in Minus?" I ask him and he nods that it has, but there was still much that needed to be unloaded. "Good" I say giving him two silver coins, "be sure that all the men have this evening off, buy some drinks and find yourselves a few slave girls to wash all the dirt off from your trek, and perhaps do some other things." I say with a grin as he takes the two coins and yells to the men to move their asses because they have the night off if they finish what they need to.

says to ALL: The men hear of free booze, baths and slave girls tonight on the boss, Exavier, and they all start moving as fast as they can, unloading the rest of the equipment from the wagons, and starting to hang tools on the walls. I would rearrange them later to suit my tastes, but for now it was good to get everything up. The work benches I have are not of as high of quality as I want, but they would be built anew by the builders here in Minus, for now I just wanted to finish everything so I could start a fire in the furnace and make this into a working forge, or at least semi working.

says to ALL: I check that the furnace is level and as the men run around unloading equipment I move to the back of the building, collecting an armful of the wood and starting to stack it in the furnace, it would take several hours and perhaps even days to get the coals burnt down to the point where they would be of use. I had projects to work on and needed to get everything going as fast as I could. The men finish what they need to do today and the whole lot of them head over to the bath house of Jaeyln, Omega having two silver to purchase all 20 of them whatever they wanted for the evening. I thought perhaps the bath house slaves would all be walking bow legged tomorrow. I dump the load of wood next to the furnace and go back for another one.

says to ALL: Returning with the second load of wood and dumping it next to the forge, I take one of the pieces and walk over to one of the work benches, selecting a small hatchet from the wall of tools. I start to strip off chunks of the wood, narrow pieces that would work as kindling to start the fire. Each swing of the hatchet peels away a narrow strip, perhaps an inch or two wide. I wait till I have several dozen of them, and then I toss what is left of the chunk of wood back into the pile, walking with the kindling to the furnace itself and setting it inside, all of the pieces forming something like a tepee in the middle. I then find a few pieces of leather and soak them in oil made from the fat of a sea sleen. I stuff them into the bottom of the little construct of kindling.

says to ALL: I then take out a piece of flint and a stone, standing with my huge calloused hands inside of the furnace I start to strike the two together, sparks flying everywhere. A few of them land on the soaked leather and start it on fire. Smoke curling up, thick and black from the sea sleen fat oil. All of a sudden a flame bursts out, curling up over the wood as it starts to crackle. I needed to use the oil because the tem wood is relatively hard to get burning, but then burns for a long time once you get it going. I blow down into the construct of kindling, watching the flames leap higher.

As the flames start to leap up and catch the small pieces of kindling on the fire I reach down and take one of the temwood logs, setting it carefully into the flames, and then another. This fire would need to be burnt, and spread out quite evenly for the forge to be ready for operation. I hear you sweeping behind me and I turn around with a grin, "well hello there pomme." I say to you and you can tell how excited I am to get things going. The forge looked different now, most of the tools were in the building, and hanging along the walls. Workbenches were set up, the anvil was placed and secured and the furnace was completely installed.

I worked quietly behind you, taking care to stay out of your way as you seemed to be engrossed in your work so I simply moved around the forge and tidied up from the unpacking. All the bits of wood and strings and dust slowly accumulated into a neat pile. Your voice rumbled a greeting and I smiled as I finished making my little dirt and wood pile "Greetings Master, the shop is coming along swimmingly, you seem terribly thrilled." I chuckled as I took the broom back and placed it against the wall before taking a cloth and wiping down a few of the work benches free of the dust and wood that had seemingly managed to settle from all the unpacking.

The flames were leaping up around them now, the fire fully engulfing what wood was available. I use a small rake to push the wood out somewhat level and add a few more pieces, I look back at you trying to sweep things away from your feet, "as much as it is going to pain me to make you cover your flesh." I say looking you over slowly, "I am going to find you some shoes, and I have been in contact with a leather worker to get you some suitable clothing for the forge, I don't want to mar that perfect skin of yours." I say with another grin, excited at the prospect of having someone help me out around the forge, since normally I was in here by myself. I toss the rest of the wood pile into the furnace, knowing that this would need to burn for a significant amount of time to burn down before more wood was added. I step away from the furnace and brush my hands off on my tunic. Leaning against one of the work benches for a moment, I watch how all the muscles in your arms and legs pull taut when you sweep, the graceful lines of your supple skin. I look around, seeing that there was not much more that could be done here, I'd seen outside that the builders had brought some materials to start work on the studio that would sit alongside of the forge.

"Well, I contracted with the owner for the use of the forge for four hands, so I still have a couple of hands left, I have found that when I do work in the marketplace sometimes people stop for orders. I may continue to work there occasionally, in an attempt to drum up business." I say considering that, as I reach you I reach out, pushing your long red hair behind your ear so that I can look over your face, also seeing the bite marks I left on your neck last night, they were bruising a bit, but would heal soon enough. "As far as other marks on your skin, I certainly don't want to have you looking like this." I say holding out one of my arms and showing you all the little pock marks near my elbows and upper arms from hot coals and bits of molten metal hitting them.

says to . |..Exavier Exeter..| .: I found a broom of twigs tied to a branch and began to sweep the shavings, pushing them away from my bare feet so that I didn't get a splinter. I worked quietly behind you, taking care to stay out of your way as you seemed to be engrossed in your work so I simply moved around the forge and tidied up from the unpacking. All the bits of wood and strings and dust slowly accumulated into a neat pile. Your voice rumbled a greeting and I smiled as I finished making my little dirt and wood pile "Greetings Master, the shop is coming along swimmingly, you seem terribly thrilled." I chuckled as I took the broom back and placed it against the wall before taking a cloth and wiping down a few of the work benches free of the dust and wood that had seemingly managed to settle from all the unpacking.

The flames were leaping up around them now, the fire fully engulfing what wood was available. I use a small rake to push the wood out somewhat level and add a few more pieces, I look back at you trying to sweep things away from your feet, "as much as it is going to pain me to make you cover your flesh." I say looking you over slowly, "I am going to find you some shoes, and I have been in contact with a leather worker to get you some suitable clothing for the forge, I don't want to mar that perfect skin of yours." I say with another grin, excited at the prospect of having someone help me out around the forge, since normally I was in here by myself. I toss the rest of the wood pile into the furnace, knowing that this would need to burn for a significant amount of time to burn down before more wood was added. I step away from the furnace and brush my hands off on my tunic. Leaning against one of the work benches for a moment, I watch how all the muscles in your arms and legs pull taut when you sweep, the graceful lines of your supple skin. I look around, seeing that there was not much more that could be done here, I'd seen outside that the builders had brought some materials to start work on the studio that would sit alongside of the forge.

"Thank you, Master, this is probably all the marking, aside from bites and bruises. That my skin can handle" Heavy lashes fanned down briefly in a lewd wink before I straightened up again so that I could wipe a few more bench tops down before folding the cloth neatly and setting it down upon one empty bench until it would be needed. "what will happen to the temporary forge at the Market, Master?" I asked curiously

"Well, I contracted with the owner for the use of the forge for four hands, so I still have a couple of hands left, I have found that when I do work in the marketplace sometimes people stop for orders. I may continue to work there occasionally, in an attempt to drum up business." I say considering that, as I reach you I reach out, pushing your long red hair behind your ear so that I can look over your face, also seeing the bite marks I left on your neck last night, they were bruising a bit, but would heal soon enough. "As far as other marks on your skin, I certainly don't want to have you looking like this." I say holding out one of my arms and showing you all the little pock marks near my elbows and upper arms from hot coals and bits of molten metal hitting them.
