says to ALL: -I hadn't seen the blacksmith in some time. I'd gone by the Inn and was told he wasn't there. So my next step was the forge he'd mentioned he was renting and working out of. I need a simple collar for daeva as she still wore the leather collar and leash I used when out and about with my beasts. I strolled along having asked where the forge was located. Eyes darting about in case he was in the area and not in the forge-

The Scribbler .|.. : The heat level inside of the forge was a bit overpowering as you walk through the door, I already have soot covering my torso, and beads of sweat drip down my bare upper chest and thick muscular arms. I look up and hear the one thrall, again I forgot his name say that there was someone here and I told them to have you brought in, if you could deal with the extreme heat and relatively miasma inside of the small room.

Are you sure?....-I could see he tried not to laugh, amusement showing on his face as I was dressed fully in robes and veils. He assured me thats what you'd said. I took in a breath and slowly made my way back. As soon as the door open I felt as if I were in an oven, blinking a few times I saw you and smiled. I didn't know how you could stand this heat-....Tal Exavier, thank you for ....seeing me.....without notice....-by the PKs it was HOT in here-

says to ..|. The Scribbler .|.. : I was covered in a sheen of sweat, the beads of sweat running down my body were leaving little runnels in the thick cloying soot. I considered that you might have to burn your robes and veils after you were done in here. But it could not be helped as I was working with bronze which was a very fussy metal. I step away from the molds, as they needed to cool anyway and I walk over towards where you were, we were only perhaps 10 feet or so from the forge's furnace and the heat baking out of it was incredibly intense. I slide off my gloves and set them on the workbench as I smile, "Greetings Gabriella, anything that I can help you with today?" I ask, I was so used to the heat that it hardly bothered me any more.

The Scribbler .|.. : I look over to the pack that I brought with me, I'd had Omega pack a few simple steel collars as well as the bronze, tin and antimony, the molds and other things he'd brought me on one of my tarns. I then look back towards you and consider that you might want something a bit more fancy than that, one of the thralls was still pumping the billows furiously, spraying cool air from outside over the fires in the furnace, heating the coals to temperatures they would never reach on their own. You could see several lash marks down his back from when I had not been pleased with his speed, nor his determination to get the job done. "I certainly can provide you with both a collar, and any branding you would like done, I actually have much experience with the latter." I say considering, "I have very simple steel collars, they are permanently attached to the neck." I say walking over to the pack and pulling one of the collars out, it was a very plain steel band, with a hinge on one side and a clasping mechanism on the other. There was normally a rivet driven into the locking mechanism, permanently closing the collar and requiring a blacksmith to remove. "Or if you want something a bit more, fancy" I said as that sounded like the right word, "I could either make something for you or help you find the right item."

I smiled and looked at the collar you were showing me. I then asked-...how does it come off if she is to be sold? I want something simple, plain and clean....-it was a for a slave so I didn't need anything fancy, clean and simple was my taste in most things. I shook my head on the fancy made one and smiled-....nothing fancy Exavier, its for a beast I just acquired and she will need branding in a hand or so, once her wounds heal and she fattens up a bit....-daeva looked like a starving urt at this point and had been subjected to much already-

"Just let me know when you are ready, it should only take a short time to put on the collar and heat up the branding iron, you will want to be sure you have some salve available for when the brand is completed, as if it is not kept covered it can scab which ruins the perfection of the outline." The Scribbler .|.. : I imagined the relative cool of the outside air once you left the forge would feel good as well, most people could not stand the temperatures in a forge for any amount of time, it was only over years of working in one that I was not really affected, though you could tell my body was hot due to the fact that sweat was running everywhere. Dripping down through the few day old stubble on my cheeks and then down off my chin to land on the front of the heavy leather apron that I wore on my torso. You may also notice many burn marks on my upper arms and chest above the top of the apron. Sparks flew all the time, and often when molten metal was hammered it would send little globs of molten steel off to sizzle the skin. "I will see you soon, perhaps tonight, and if not then in the next hand with your slave for a collaring and branding." I yelled over to the thrall working the billows, "Open the door for the Lady and let her out, thrall." He drops the billows, and you can see him glance over at me all concerned that he saw you without your veils, he would not speak of you removing them of course, as he was terrified of me.
